The answer to the question: “What should I try first?” Our definitive house blend coffee. J.P. Hearty blend was created by our founder, John Prestogeorge (1926-2010), over 40 years ago. The blend is 80% Sumatra Mandheling, and 20% Vienna roast. You will get a smooth cup with a little bit of extra oomph. Many folks call it our “breakfast blend,” as it is a great way to start the day and continue sipping all day long. Not too strong, not too mild, just a very good cup of coffee. All these years later, it is still our top selling blend, earning it the honor of Pittsburgh’s favorite coffee.

Old Favorite !!
Moving out of state more than 20 years ago I just can not live with out this coffee! I have tried other local brands, even Starbucks but this bold flavor has great flavor that grabs your attention yet is not bitter at all. High recommend!

JP Hearty Blend
After moving to Mercer County in 2000, my wife, Jan, discovered JP Hearty Blend on our first trip to the Strip District. Jan said then, and continues to espouse that JP Hearty is the absolute best coffee she has ever tasted. Since discovering JP, we moved to southcentral PA, and later, Virginia. For a few decades, I phoned the store several times a year to mail order 5-6 pounds of JP's beans at a time. I looked forward to the calls because every employee I spoke with was always welcoming and cheerful. Over the last few years, I have been ordering on-line more, which is also a very user-friendly process. While I'm not a coffee drinker, it's also been fun to order other blends like AJ Wild, Symphony and Three Rivers for her, along with JP Hearty. Jan has thoroughly enjoyed all of the Prestogeorge blends, but continues to find JP to be unmatched, anywhere!

Simply the best!
I lived in Pittsburgh for many years and Prestogeorge was THE place for my coffee purchases. I've since moved out of state (and miss the 'burgh!) but have continued ordering my coffee from this wonderful company. I won't drink any other brand, period, and J.P.Hearty is the medium roast that I order continuously. It's full bodied, smooth, and absolutely delicious! Do yourself a favor -- a HUGE favor -- and brew this every morning to start your day off right!
