This smooth and clear tasting Shade Grown Nicaragua is pleasant to drink and a pleasure to cohabitate with. Shade grown means the coffee trees are planted along and underneath the existing tree line. This is beneficial in many ways. It provides extra shelter for wildlife, especially birds, shields the coffee from any harsh weather, and drastically reduces agricultural deforestation. Having a diverse biome leads to well fed soil. The coffee cherries also benefit from the added shade, it allows the fruit to ripen slower and develop more complex tastes.
