Rwanda Gaseke Village Fair Trade Organic Coffee

Situated among a beautifully dramatic landscape, the Gaseke Village coffee farms face the Congo Nile Crest on one side and Lake Kivu on the other. The farm resides at a high altitude between 6000-7000 feet above sea level. The biodiversity within the rich volcanic soil keeps the coffee plants healthy and biologically sustainable. The favorable elevation, soil, temperatures and rainfalls in conjunction with the hard work of the Gaseke farmers, results in a beautiful crop that grows slowly and matures to the highest density. The biggest challenge for coffee farmers is the low income they receive for the coffee. This coffee is purchased Fair Trade and Organic certified, ensuring the producers receive sustainable payment for their product to continue producing high quality coffee and providing jobs for their community.
