Description: Native to North America, Slippery Elm Bark’s most common uses are for respiratory and urinary track issues. The mucilage in slippery elm bark eases sore throats and coughs as well as reduces inflammation and irritation in the urinary tract. When applied as a topical application, it’s also known to relieve skin irritations and inflammations.
Tea or Infusion: Brew as a hot tea, or add to your baked goods, soups, smoothies, or really anything to take for an irritated digestive system. To apply externally: Mix slippery elm in some water to make a thick paste and apply it directly on the affected area
