Loose Leaf Herbal Tea

Spicy Herbal Chai is one of our Signature Blends. What is most unique about this "tea" is that there are no actual tea leaves in this blend. It is made using only spices and herbs. We blend together cinnamon chips, ginger root, cardamom, cloves, chicory, star anise, peppercorn, and cinnamon oils. Native to the shadier regions of India & Ceylon, cardamom has a gentle, airy taste of the forest itself--reminiscent of ginger with a pinch of pine. Cinnamon brings a spicy depth. Peppercorn, clove, star anise, and ginger root add a nice healthy warm touch.

These spices together make for a warm and comforting tea that can best be compared to drinking a cinnamon roll! Warm the heart with this stunning herbal tea! This tea, when brewed strong and mixed with steamed milk, also makes a fabulous caffeine free chai latte!

Steeping Guide:

Amount of tea per 8oz cup: 2 tsp

Water Temperature: 210F

Steep Time: 5-7 minutes

I first tried this tea when it came in an Advent calendar of items from all over Pennsylvania. It is the perfect winter night tea made with comforting spices. After I quickly finished my sample, I had to buy more. I was so happy to see PrestoGeorge had online ordering since I am in the Philadelphia area. My son lives in Pittsburgh, so I will definitely make a visit to the store when I am there.

I received this tea in a PA-themed advent calendar, and it is absolutely delightful. I made a pot for my family and we all loved it, especially with homemade Rice Krispie treats!

This is one of my staples for the fall and winter months. I love it. Fair warning though, it’s pretty heavy on the cinnamon.

This is my all time favorite tea! I’ve been caffeine-free for 8 years and have been drinking this lovely tea most mornings. It’s not too spicy but has a mellow warmth. Highly recommend!
