The beans are decaffeinated using the Swiss water process developed by the Swiss Water Process Decaffeinated Coffee Company. Great Coffee
I've read in multiple places that the Swiss Water Process is a great way to get the caffeine out of coffee. I love coffee and can't handle the caffeine as I used to. I ordered the whole beans to give grinding at home a try. Flavor is great. The decaf selection is incredible. I'm going to work my way through the selection here before deciding on my favorites.
