This Fair-Trade, Organic, Dominican Republic coffee is roasted to perfection by our master roasters using our Continental Roast style. This bean brings forth a rich aroma with a soft chocolaty taste, medium body & acidity and notes of cream and nuts. Bold medium-dark roast. Brews great in any method but makes an excellent full-bodied espresso.
Barahona coffee is known to be the finest of the Dominican Republic’s premium gourmet coffees. Located on the Caribbean Sea, off the southwestern shores of the Dominican Republic, Barahona coffee has its own unique growing region on the award-winning Ramirez Estate. This family-owned estate is extraordinarily socially conscious. They use fermented coffee cherries to create natural gas, which partially powers their operation. With only 35 farmers, this group produces some of the finest coffee we have tasted from the Dominican Republic. This coffee is 100% shade grown under canopies of guava, pine, and macadamia trees. This helps impart a true Caribbean style brew similar to Jamaican coffees. Well-loved by coffee perfectionists. We take this bean up a notch by roasting to a continental roast level. Medium-dark.

Good tasting coffee
I'm enjoying this coffee very much. The continental roast is quite dark, with some smokiness -- if that's how you like your coffee, give this one a try.
