Wonderfully balanced and caramelly with honey-like sweetness. We take this peaberry bean up a notch by roasting it a bit longer than our full city roast to give our dark coffee lovers the opportunity to enjoy the well-loved peaberry bean in their favorite roast style.
Willows peaberry coffee bean is a rare and exquisite variety that offers a smooth and rich flavor. As a dark roast, it has a deep and intense aroma that fills the senses with hints of chocolate, caramel and nuts. The taste is full-bodied and complex, with a balanced acidity and a lingering sweetness.
Peaberry coffee is a rare type of coffee bean that results from a natural mutation in the coffee cherry. Instead of having two flat-sided beans, the cherry produces only one round bean. Peaberry beans are usually separated from regular beans and roasted differently, as they have a different size and density.
Costa Rica Willows Peaberry Coffee is farmed at Hacienda Miramonte in Costa Rica’s Central Valley, under lush canopies.
Hacienda Miramonte came to be long before the notion of “specialty coffee” was dreamt of. The farm was founded by a woman who broke down the barriers of her time. In 1917, Lucila Duval de Morales decided to plant coffee. Her determination was passed down to future generations and set an example that inspired her family for generations to come. Today, Lucila’s great-grandson, Ricardo Gurdian is the owner and operator, running the plantation with the same diligence and passion for coffee with which his ancestor started. Ricardo now counts on his daughter, Viviana, to continue the family business.

Costa Rica
A little oily, lots of deep roast. Enjoyed it a bit more with a coarse grind. [V60 pour over]

Costa rican peaberry
This is my favorite coffee. I drink it almost exclusively. It is rich and layered. Not at all bitter but packs a big flavor punch. The smell of it makes my morning.

Costa Rica Peaberry
I am a big fan of Central American Coffee, and this is a good one. A perfect way to start the day. Actually, in my opinion they all are, but this is a favorite. I'm no expert, so no fancy descriptions. It bridges the light roast/ dark roast gap and makes me happy. I live 150 miles away and get ALL my coffee from Prestogeorge and have for over 15 years.
